Secret Proposal Photography at Sodaro Winery in the Napa Valley {Nica+Steven}

Capturing the Perfect Proposal at Sodaro Winery In Napa, CA: Steven & Nica’s Love Story

When Steven reached out for help planning the perfect secret proposal to his girlfriend Nica, I knew we needed a location as unique as their love story. After discussing a few options, we decided on the stunning Sodaro Winery in Napa Valley.

Sodaro Winery offers a picturesque backdrop with rolling vineyards, rustic architecture, and an ambiance that exudes romance. This location transports you to the heart of Tuscany with its breathtaking natural beauty.

On the day of the proposal, Steven and Nica arrived at the winery for what she thought was a casual wine-tasting tour. Little did she know, Steven had orchestrated a perfect plan. As they strolled through the vineyard, with the golden Napa sun casting a warm glow, Steven got down on one knee and asked Nica to marry him.

It was an absolute honor to capture Nica’s reaction—the surprise, the joy, the tears of happiness—. The vineyard’s scenic beauty complemented the raw emotion of the moment, creating timeless photographs that Steven and Nica will cherish forever.

After the proposal, we took a few more photos of the winery, making the most of the beautiful setting. Sodaro Winery, with its elegant charm, provided the perfect backdrop for this unforgettable occasion.

If you’re planning to pop the question and want to make it a moment to remember, Sodaro Winery in Napa Valley is an incredible choice. Let’s create magic together and capture your love story in the most beautiful way possible.

Choose a getting-ready location that is light-filled and something that reflects your style.  If you can, try to keep everything organized and the clutter to a minimum.

Bride Reflection in the mirror - Getting Ready

Check to see if your room has a full-length mirror for the bride. It will help while getting ready and will make for amazing photos!

Hanger

A custom hanger, one with your name on it or a fun custom design, is a lovely keepsake and assists with detailed gown photos.

Shoes

Consider getting a back up pair of shoes after the ceremony, maybe leaving a pair at reception for dancing comfortable.

Heel saver - if you have heels, please check them out. They increase the surfaces or the heels.

Details

Gather your belongings you would like to have detailed photos. such as jewelries, hearings, shoe, veil, perfume...

Time

Set a time to get into your gown!
We suggest anyone in the getting-ready location be dressed and ready when it's time for you to put on your bridal gown. Of course, we will capture candid and directed shots depending on the situation and your preferences.

Your idea

Please share examples of photos you would like to recreate or that show any particular style, lighting, etc.
One great way to do this is by a Pinterest board email or text.

Capturing Love in Napa Valley – Proposal at Castello di Amorosa – {Jesse+Bryanna}

There’s something magical about the vineyards of Napa Valley, especially when it comes to love. Recently, I captured a proposal at the Castello di Amorosa. Jesse and Bryanna, a lovely couple from Vancouver, chose this romantic destination among many places they visited during their California tour.—and Jesse had an unforgettable surprise planned.

On the day of the proposal, the look on Bryanna’s face when she realized what was happening was priceless. And, of course, she said yes! After they recovered from the proposal’s excitement, we reenacted the moment with Bryanna in on the surprise this time.

The following mini-engagement session is a blend of guided and candid moments, laughter, and fun with the serene beauty of Napa Valley in the backdrop. We wandered through the vineyard and inside the Castello di Amorosa. If you have not been there yet, it’s an Italian middle-aged castle (built in the 2,000s, opened in 2,008) in the heart of Napa Valley. Congratulations again, Jesse and Bryanna! Your love story is truly inspiring, and it was an honor to be part of such a special day.
