Napa Valley Candid Proposal Photography - Viader Winery 5 years ago, I have experienced an explosion of calls for Candid Marriage Proposal Photography and many questions on where are the best proposal ideas, the best wineries and location backdrop to pop the question… The Napa Valley is such a romantic place for a couple retreat, many men take advantage of their get away here to plan their perfect proposal to remember, and I understand why!

This my favorite and most exciting photography session to plan. After we discuss our thoughts and intentions, I get a good idea of locations. I then scout out the perfect spot, send photographs of potential locations to the groom-to-be, and he chooses where he wants to kneel down on one knee and propose.

On the predetermined date, I feel a bit like a paparazzi, as I hide sometimes behind grapevines with just my humongous, long-zoom lens, sticking out between the leaves…. I am always able to capture beautiful emotions, private moment, so filled with excitement, joy and love.

As a photographer, it is an honor for me to be a part of the beginning of a couple’s special bond. I love to be the witness of one of the couple’s most romantic moments in life.

Bachelorette Party Photography in St. Helena, CA

Christophe Genty is a wedding photographer based in Napa Valley who works throughout The San Francisco Bay Area, and beyond. He recently received the prestigious “Best of the Knot 2015” once again by the well-known print and online magazine, The Knot.com.

My relationship with this lovely bride-to-be began very early of this year when she contacted me regarding engagement photos. Sheyanne, a Texas girl, and her fiance Jamie, a Scottish lad, were incredible subjects. Their mutual love for life and each other was very easily captured through photography on a beautifully foggy day in January. Truly magical images resulted from that day – ones that they, and I, have since showcased.

Following the engagement session, the couple headed back to Texas to plan for their July wedding. I was thrilled to hear from Sheyanne again in April, when she informed me that she and her girlfriends were heading back to Napa for her bachelorette party. She had yet to put all the details into place, but she knew she wanted great photographs to remember this special trip. Luckily, I was available for the date and was excited to work with her once more.

After exchanging ideas over a couple of phone calls, they day came and we met in St. Helena at their rented home for the weekend. The house was amazing, offering a great porch swing. The vines were full and spring was in the air, creating a beautiful backdrop for these equally beautiful women. With a lot of laughs, we took group and individual photos at the house and then took a little stroll down the road where we got some great shots as well. Sheyanne, in red, and her friends all in gold, they complimented each other in every way. I hope to see them all again in the Napa Valley someday!
