For a year, I have been working with Laffort in Petaluma and St. Helena, an international wine-tech development company with headquarters in Bordeaux, France. Along with taking photographs, I’ve been busy shooting videos to showcase their revolutionary products. With the increasing importance of visual aid in marketing and the difficulty of displaying products deposited in wine barrels, what we have accomplished is something very unique.
In the video below, a sheet of round plexi-glass was installed into both sides of a wine barrel, making it possible for the viewer to witness their SO2 product (used to prevent oxidization and preserve flavor) in action. Watching the process as it occurs in real-time is visually enchanting and brings a new element to the scene of wine production.
Another video we have completed encapsulates Laffort yeast rehydration protocol, which is crucial in completing the fermentation process.
