Wedding photography at Viansa, Sonoma Valley

Sonama wedding photography - Viansa Sonoma Valley, CAI just finished shooting a truly breathtaking wedding at Viansa in Sonoma Valley, the wedding of Deanna and Marty.  It was a real pleasure to photograph their special day together in the most spectacular of settings.  Photographing the Viansa Winery takes me back to the old country –to Tuscany.  Everything about the location is authentic from the Italian varietal grapes, to the lovingly tended olive groves, to the incredible respect for wine and food pairing, to the villa perched on a hilltop overlooking soft, rolling hills.  Viansa is the perfect setting for an incredibly romantic wedding complete with gorgeous wedding photographs  –it is a magical place.

Marty and Deanna’s love was palpable, and lucky me, I was there to capture every delicious moment.  Deanna had recently recovered from knee surgery, but she certainly did not let that stop her from having the time of her life.  The DJ was spinning Mash-ups, and the bride, the groom and all of their guests were dancing well into the night.  Somehow, I think the fact that Deanna had just recovered, made her that much more grateful for what she has, and she and Marty were able to look forward to a life full of love and adventure together.  It was beautiful.

Oh, and did I mention how incredibly gorgeous Viansa is???  Oh yeah.  It is a photographer’s dream!

High School Senior Portraits in Napa

This year, we have had a plethora of High School Seniors come in for their portraits, and we have been having a blast.  These are NOT your run-of-the-mill, graduating class pictures.  Each photograph is as unique as the individual captured on film.  You will never see two identical,  Senior portraits.

Location, location, location!  We have scouted out so many new and exciting locations to use in and around downtown Napa as well as Napa Valley as a whole –sculpture gardens, art installations, and murals as well as flowers galore, and of course, I always love to take advantage of my own property which is nothing short of inspirational.   It has been a spectacular season, and it is not over yet.  In fact, we have just begun!

Take a look at the video we have created to show the highlights thus far with senior pictures.   As you will see, it is an exciting year of dancers, artists, athletes and all around natural beauties.   In fact, one of my Seniors is being actively recruited by colleges nationwide for her brains and her brawn –she’s an incredibly talented softball player –and dare I say, she is drop dead gorgeous.

We also had a couple of incredible dancers who came to the studio prepared with costumes in hand. We had loads of fun at that shoot!  One of these girls is moving to Las Angeles to pursue a career in dance after she graduates.  I am so proud of her –following her dreams.

My Seniors come from all over the area to include Justin Sienna in Napa, St. Vincents-St. Patrick’s in Vallejo, Napa High School, Vintage in Napa, Armijo in Fairfield, and Will C. Wood in Vacaville just to name a few.  We have someone from just about everywhere represented this year, and somehow I always manage to get the most amazing, talented and stunning High School Seniors… the very cream of the crop!
