The air is warm, apple trees are in full bloom, my cat just had her kittens, we have new chicks in the coop, and it is the perfect time to take pregnancy photographs in Napa Valley! This past weekend I was privileged to photograph Annabel, one of my former brides, in her pregnancy glory. It was a gorgeous day, and we had so much fun … Read more »

Brix is absolutely spectacular for wedding photography and from a selfish perspective, this location has everything I could possibly ask for as a Napa wedding photographer.
Last week I had a fantastic engagement session at Brix with the cutest couple who are expecting their first child together. So in a way, it was a combined engagement and pregnancy session for Emily and Cory. We had so much fun together, and the photographs turned out to be so beautiful.
I just worked with the most beautiful couple, Marcie and Augie, who married at The gorgeous Citizen Hotel. This exclusive, boutique hotel is located in the heart of downtown Sacramento. The cosmopolitan venue suited the couple’s personalities very well. Both the ceremony and the reception were held in a gorgeous, enclosed, rooftop location with spectacular views of the sunset as well as the California Capital. The views were breathtaking from every angle.

These days, elopements happen all the time, and the definition of the word itself has changed. … Read more »
On my second trip to Vietnam in January 2002, with Steve Warren, and Mission Peace, I was able to focus more on the culture and the villagers of the countryside who had never, ever been photographed before. For a few precious days during this trip, I was with a Vietnamese nun who spoke French. She and I were deep in the Mekong Delta where people … Read more »

Now, don’t get me wrong, I love that so many people have taken photography to be their new passion, but not anyone can do professional work, even though they may own a professional camera.
There are several times … Read more »
In Vietnam, children who are born with congenital deformities, or children who become handicapped because of illness such as polio, are ostracized, not allowed to attend school, nor are they able to work as adults. These children are truly condemned. With surgery, not only are they able to walk, but they become assimilated into their communities where they can be productive members of society. Mission … Read more »
In October, I hung a collection of maternity and baby photographs in the Maternity Ward of Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa, CA. This is a permanent collection of both pregnancy pictures, as well as several photographs from my Bebe Collection. The Bebe collection encompasses the first year of a child’s life from newborn, to 12 months.
Previously, the walls were quite stark in … Read more »
I was fortunate to be chosen as the photographer for the very exclusive wedding of a couple from Philadelphia, at Cline Vineyards, and it was absolutely stunning. The groom proposed in Paris, and they decided to have a Wine Country wedding with a French theme. It was breathtaking.
Cline Cellars is a 350-acre estate at the southern tip of Sonoma County where the Mayacama Mountains … Read more »
