Rosemary Kempton has written a lovely article about me and my life’s work of photography, published on the front page of the Arts & Entertainment section of the Napa Valley Register, April 19, 2012.
The article is titled, “The world through his lens: Napa photographer of French descent tries to uplift people.”

In the article, Kempton discusses how, through the art of photography, I give back to the community both locally and abroad. It’s a lovely piece, and I am so honored to have been featured.

Engagement Photography at Brix Restaurant in Napa

Engagement photography at Brix Restaurant in Napa - Emily & Cory Brix is absolutely spectacular for wedding photography and from a selfish perspective, this location has everything I could possibly ask for as a Napa wedding photographer.
Last week I had a fantastic engagement session at Brix with the cutest couple who are expecting their first child together. So in a way, it was a combined engagement and pregnancy session for Emily and Cory. We had so much fun together, and the photographs turned out to be so beautiful.

Emily and Cory’s wedding will be at Brix as well, and I will be honest… Brix is without a doubt, one of the most beautiful restaurants to have a wedding, in all of Napa Valley.

There are so many absolutely gorgeous locations on Brix’s property complete with vineyard backdrops for a classic Napa, Wine Country wedding shots. Then, adding to the vineyards are centuries-old oak trees perched along a reservoir, where the trees reflect gracefully on the water, the Mayacama Mountain range in the distance… the laundry list of perfect vignettes for photographs is broad and vast.

I can’t wait to return to Brix for Emily and Cory’s wedding later this year. It is going to be spectacular!

Cosmopolitan Wedding Photography at the Citizen Hotel in Sacramento

Wedding at The Citizen's Hotel, Sacramento CA I just worked with the most beautiful couple, Marcie and Augie, who married at the beautiful and stately Citizen Hotel. This exclusive, boutique hotel is located in the heart of downtown Sacramento. The cosmopolitan venue suited the couple’s personalities very well. Both the ceremony and the reception were held in a gorgeous, enclosed, rooftop location with spectacular views of the sunset as well as the California Capital. The views were breathtaking from every angle.

Marcie and Augie wanted to have their “formal” bridal party pictures to be candid and casual, so we took to the city streets. We had a lot of fun with the entire bridal party as we nearly stopped traffic flooding J Street with bridesmaids and groomsmen. What a hoot! The personalities of every individual involved came out at this shoot, and you can really feel the love in these photos. We had a lot of laughs, and everyone had a great time, that’s for sure. I believe many of the photographs capture these moments beautifully.

This couple was nothing short of adorable, and their love for each other was palpable. As a wedding photographer, I am thrilled to document such a wonderful day.
