Napa Baby Photography – 3 months, The Awakening

The first year of a baby’s life is the beginning of their personal journey, and it is a joy to document these magical moments.  Your child will only be a baby once, and never again in their lifetime will their growth be so dramatic and exciting.  That is why we created the Baby Collection.  From birth to sitting-up, crawling, and finally the independence of walking!  Each stage of the first year of life is carefully captured in the Baby Collection in a series of baby portrait photography sessions beginning with 3 months, then 6 months, then finally 12 months.

The Awakening                                                3 Months

Avery 3 months session Tiny little fingers, toes and all of baby’s delicious wrinkles and rolls to treasure for years to come.  This first photography session focuses on the bond between the parents and the baby.  Parents should wear a long sleeved, black shirt as we want to spotlight the baby in his/her birthday suit against a black backdrop.  The parents’ hands and face will show, but the focus will be on the baby.

We highly recommend booking a morning appointment when the baby is the happiest.  Late afternoon and early evening appointments can be harder for the baby as they tend to be fussiest this time of day.  Be sure to feed your baby before your appointment, and make sure he/she is well rested.  Hopefully your baby will take a snooze in the car on the nice drive to the studio in Napa!  Parents should be sure to bring a change of clothes for themselves, because we like to photograph infants in their birthday suit… accidents can happen.
